McMullin Celebrates Moon Dog’s Exciting Expansion

Unveiling ‘The Wild West’ – A New Entertainment Haven in Footscray

Moon Dog’s Josh Uljans with McMullin’s Ian McMullin and Spiro Vallos

McMullin is pleased to announce a new milestone in our collaborative partnership with Moon Dog as they launch their third entertainment venue in the iconic former Franco Cozzo building in Footscray. Building on the success of their existing venues, Moondog is set to elevate the entertainment scene in Melbourne once again. Doubling down on their commitment to innovative leisure spaces, Moondog has transformed 54 Hopkins St into a multi-level extravaganza, creating Melbourne’s newest and most dynamic beer-drinking playground.

A Venue Like No Other

Spanning an impressive three levels, this new venue is twice the size of its sister site in Preston, Moon Dog World. With more than 100 taps and space to welcome up to 800 guests, Moondog’s latest establishment is designed to be a festive haven for all. The venue features a Wild West theme complete with swinging saloon doors, a bucking bull, horseshoe booths, and even a games arcade.

Varied Attractions Across Floors

The first floor is a spectacle of entertainment with a mechanical bucking bull taking centre stage, surrounded by horseshoe booths, a games arcade, and a ranch-themed kids’ play area. The adventure continues upstairs with a honky tonk bar, live music stage, pool tables, and a jukebox on the second floor, leading up to an expansive rooftop bar that offers spectacular views across Melbourne.

Culinary Delights to Match the Ambience

To complement Moon Dog’s renowned beers and newly curated list of exciting cocktails, the venue offers a delectable range of American barbecue and Tex-Mex cuisine. Highlights include jalapeño poppers, buffalo chicken ribs, and Mexican-style prawn cocktails, topped off with Moon Dog’s staple gastropub classics.

A Flourishing Partnership

The successful launch of this venue marks another milestone in the fruitful partnership between McMullin and Moondog. Directors Spiro Vallos and Ian McMullin have worked closely with Moondog founders Josh Uljans and Karl Van Buren to support the brewery’s bold visions, which began even before the roll-out of the new Preston Brewery. This ongoing collaboration underscores McMullin’s commitment to fostering innovative and thriving businesses.

Looking Forward

As Moondog continues to expand its footprint, McMullin is excited about the upcoming ambitious expansion plans for the next 6 to 12 months. It’s shaping up to be a massive year for Moon Dog, with the brewery planning to open two more venues in the Docklands and Frankston.

This partnership enhances McMullin’s portfolio and enriches Melbourne’s cultural and social landscape, promising more unique experiences for locals and visitors alike.

Moondog’s new venue at 54 Hopkins St is not just a place for good beer and food; it’s a comprehensive entertainment experience that reflects McMullin’s commitment to supporting vibrant businesses. Discover more about this comprehensive entertainment experience at Moondog’s official website.
