McMULLIN PROPERTY

LARGE FORMAT RETAIL PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT

McMullin develops, owns and invests in strategically located large-format retail properties across Melbourne and regional Victoria. With more than 45 years of property experience, we manage opportunities from site identification and acquisition through planning, leasing, construction and long-term ownership.

Large-Format Retail Development Built Around Location, Retailers and Long-Term Value.

McMullin identifies and develops retail property opportunities where location, market demand and retailer requirements align. Our experience spans large-format retail precincts, homemaker centres, trade centres, standalone retail facilities and automotive developments across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Our involvement can begin before a site is acquired and continue well beyond completion. We assess opportunities, acquire land, manage planning and design, work collaboratively with leasing agents and retailers, deliver the development and, where appropriate, retain ownership as a long-term investment.

Our Large-Format Retail Development Approach

Every opportunity is assessed on its individual commercial merits. McMullin considers location, catchment, access, retailer demand, planning requirements and long-term asset performance before progressing a development.

Formerly Warragul’s cattle saleyards, the 44–56 Alfred Street site presented McMullin with an opportunity to create a new use for an established commercial property. McMullin acquired the site and led it through planning, design, leasing and construction, delivering an approximately 8,000 sqm large-format retail precinct completed in 2026.

Today, The Saleyards is fully tenanted by Sydney Tools, Anaconda, JB Hi-Fi, RSEA Safety and 4WD Supacentre, with McMullin retaining ownership as a long-term investment in regional retail.
